Yes — as long as the logo stays in the middle and doesn’t cover more than about a quarter of the code. Whenever you upload a logo, this tool automatically bumps the error-correction level to H (30%), which is the level designed to stay scannable even when part of the code is obscured. The 22% centered logo placement used here is the industry-standard safe zone.

No. These are static QR codes — the destination is encoded directly into the pattern. Once printed, the code works forever without any active service on our end. You don’t need an account, a subscription, or to log in to keep it working. (Dynamic QR codes, which do expire if you stop paying a provider, are a different product; we don’t offer them because they require ongoing hosting that would force us to charge.)

Not with a static QR code — the pattern points straight at your destination with nothing in between to count scans. If you need scan analytics, the usual approach is to point your QR at a short redirect URL that your analytics platform owns (bit.ly, a self-hosted redirector, or a full dynamic-QR SaaS). You can generate that short URL elsewhere and paste it into the URL field above.

PNG is a raster image — a grid of pixels at a fixed resolution (1024×1024 here). Best for screens, social posts, and small-to-medium prints. SVG is a vector — math-defined shapes that scale to any size without blurring or pixelating. Pick SVG for posters, business cards at the printer, billboards, or any time the QR will be resized after download.

Pick Wi-Fi in the type switcher, enter the network name (SSID) and password, and choose the encryption (WPA / WPA2 for most home networks, WEP for older hardware, or None for open networks). On iOS 11+, Android 10+, and Huawei/MIUI builds, scanning the result pops a “Join network” prompt — no password typing needed.

M (15%) is the sweet spot for most QR codes — reliable scanning with a reasonably sparse pattern. Use L (7%) only for long payloads that need every possible pixel (rare). Q (25%) and H (30%) produce denser codes but recover gracefully from scratches, folded corners, and logo overlays. Whenever you add a logo this tool automatically selects H.

Every iPhone running iOS 11+ (that’s iPhone 5s and newer) and every Android phone running Android 8+ can scan QR codes straight from the built-in camera app — no separate scanner app needed. Older devices can use the free Google Lens app or any camera app with QR support.

Aim for 2.5 cm (1 inch) wide at the minimum for scanning at arm’s length. For posters or signs scanned from across the room, scale up proportionally — a general rule is 1/10th of the scan distance. More error-correction margin (Q or H) gives you more latitude to go smaller. Pick the “Print” size preset (2048 px) before downloading so the artwork stays sharp at large sizes.

Yes. Pick Bitcoin, paste your address (Legacy, SegWit, or Bech32 — bc1… all work), and optionally pre-fill an amount, label, and message. Scanning the result with Bitcoin Core, BlueWallet, Wallet of Satoshi, or any BIP21-compatible wallet pre-fills the send screen so the sender doesn’t have to copy the address by hand.

Functionally, none — the brand shortcuts on this tool encode the URL you enter exactly the same way as the URL type. The brand chips just give you a familiar icon, a more relevant placeholder, and a hint about what kind of link to paste, so you don’t have to think about which type to pick when you’re sharing a YouTube channel, an Instagram profile, or an App Store listing.
